Cosmetic dentistry is always evolving to help our patients achieve bright and brilliant smiles that last a lifetime. Here at our office, we are proud of the fact that we stay ahead of the curve when it comes to offering our patients the most advanced care possible.
Veneers are a treatment frequently used for numerous cosmetic dental issues. However, getting veneers requires losing some of your tooth enamel to make room for the veneers. Instead of regular veneers, our dentists frequently recommend porcelain veneers to our patients.

Porcelain veneers are thin, and light so very little preparation is necessary before our dentist places them. We will tint the veneers to match your natural tooth color and expertly fit them with no gaps between the veneer and your gumline.
For some patients, traditional methods of treatment will not produce acceptable results. We find this to be the case with patients who have discolored teeth because of medications. Often, these patients get the smiles they want from porcelain veneers.

Porcelain veneers can help patients with more than tooth discoloration. Patients with cracked or chipped teeth get great results by using porcelain veneers. Additionally, patients with slightly misaligned teeth often get porcelain veneers to enhance their smiles instead of choosing braces. The porcelain veneers are also useful to give teeth of different sizes symmetry.

The procedure involved in getting your porcelain veneers is not complicated, and it usually involves three visits to our office.
• During your first visit, you and our dentist will talk about your treatment goals and what you would like to see change about your smile. Our staff also measures to determine the precise shade of your enamel.
• At your second visit, we prepare your teeth and take impressions for the dental lab to use to make your porcelain veneers. You will get temporary veneers to protect your teeth until the lab sends you permanent veneers.
• For your third visit, our dentist will check the fit and color of your veneers and bond them permanently to your teeth.

If you feel your smile will benefit from porcelain veneers, contact our office. We can set up a no-obligation consultation with our San Francisco cosmetic dentist in our office.
