Length of Treatment with Invisalign Express

Many people are not aware that the makers of Invisalign have also developed a product called Invisalign Express. The physics behind Invisalign Express work in exactly the same way as traditional Invisalign, but Invisalign Express requires a shorter duration of treatment.

With traditional Invisalign, it is common for the treatment to take 20 to 30 sets of aligners in order to reach the treatment goal. This roughly equates to about a year to a year and a half of total treatment time for traditional Invisalign. In order to qualify for treatment with Invisalign Express, it is required that your treatment is able to be achieved in 10 sets of aligners or less. This amount of aligners equates to about six months of total treatment time with Invisalign Express. Just like with traditional Invisalign, you will wear each set of aligners for two weeks before replacing them with another set. Each new set is designed to move your teeth one small step closer to your treatment goal. As a result of the shorter treatment time, Invisalign Express is designed to work best for people with minor crowding and spacing issues.
