Many patients who are considering orthodontic work with Invisalign or are about to being their treatment wonder what their everyday life will be like with the addition of this appliance. Our Invisalign provider will likely give you a good idea and answer any questions you may have about it, but you can read on for some information you may not have learned yet.

Wearing your Invisalign aligners for at least the minimum amount of time each day is an important part of achieving the results you want. The aligners should be worn between twenty and twenty-two hours every day. They can be removed so you can eat, drink liquids other than water, and clean the teeth. When you remove them, be sure to keep them in sight so you do not accidentally forget them or throw them out.

About every two weeks, you will be able to replace your current set of aligners for the next ones in the line-up. These will be a tight fit, but get your teeth closer to the intended end positions. This process is mostly self-directed, but you will need to see our dentist every few weeks so they can check your progress and make any recommendations or adjustments as they see fit.
