Different Options for Restoring Damaged Teeth

There are many different ways to restore damaged or unhealthy teeth. You may require one or more restorative procedures, depending on your specific dental needs, and what your restorative dentist in Los Angeles recommends.

The following are some different options for restoring damaged teeth:

Bonding: A permanent bone-like material is places on or by teeth to fill in gaps and chips, cover stains, or fix crookedness.
Crowns: Crowns are a protective covering that usually goes on the top of your tooth. These help to fix any damage done to a tooth caused by cracks, decay, and/or grinding.
Implants: If you are suffering from a missing tooth or a tooth too damaged to repair, getting an implant is an option. An implants dentist will create a replacement tooth, and then set it into your bone, allowing it to function just as well as your other teeth do.
Full mouth reconstruction: This is the process of reconstructing, or restoring, most to all of the teeth in your mouth. The process can include but is not limited to implants, crowns, bonding, bridges, and braces.
These are only some ways to restore damaged teeth, and your treatment will depend completely on what your teeth require, and what would be beneficial to your overall dental health.
